Most questions we receive get answered the same day, and the fastest route is WhatsApp — the green button on every page, or the direct link below. Email works too, with a slightly slower turnaround. Before you write, a quick scan of the answers below might save you the message entirely.
WhatsApp (Fastest)
Message us at +62 811-3941-4563 with your dates, group size and what you are hoping to do. A useful reply usually needs those three things, so including them up front skips a round trip. We answer in English and Indonesian, generally within a few hours during the Bali daytime (UTC+8).
For longer questions, corrections, or anything with attachments: editor@baliairballoon.com. Operator corrections and reader price reports both go here too — dated screenshots of quotes are the most useful evidence you can send.
What We Can Help With
- What is currently operating. The tethered balloon near Ubud changes its availability seasonally; we keep track so you do not have to call around. We will tell you what is running for your dates and who to book with, directly.
- Price sanity checks. Quoted something far above or below the ranges in our pricing guide? Forward it and we will tell you whether it is a deal, a repricing we have not caught yet, or a listing to walk away from.
- Choosing between experiences. Balloon, helicopter, paragliding or parasailing for your particular group — the trade-offs are mapped in our comparison guide, and we are happy to apply them to your specific dates and budget.
- Suspicious listings. If you have found a “sunrise free-flight over the rice terraces,” send it over before you pay. We keep a running record of misdescribed balloon listings, and yours may already be in it.
What We Do Not Do
We do not take bookings, hold deposits, or process payments — ever. When you are ready to reserve, we hand you the operator’s direct contact and you transact with them; the booking guide covers the refund terms to confirm before paying anyone, including us if someone claiming to be us asks for money. (To be explicit: a payment request in this site’s name is fraud. We have no payment details to give.)
Before You Message: The Three Most Common Answers
“Is there a real sunrise balloon flight in Bali?” There is a real sunrise tethered ascent near Ubud — 10 to 15 minutes at 30–50 metres, IDR 500,000–1,500,000 depending on package. There is no free-flight ballooning in Bali. The distinction, and why it matters, opens the definitive guide.
“When should I book?” A few days ahead in shoulder season; one to two weeks ahead in July, August and late December. Always early in your stay, never the last morning — wind cancellations need somewhere to be rebooked to. Seasonal detail is in the best-time guide.
“Can my kids / my parents / my nervous partner do it?” Almost certainly yes — the tethered format is the gentlest aerial experience on the island. Age, weight and pregnancy specifics are in the FAQ.
Corrections Policy
Errors get fixed fast and quietly: dated prices are updated on evidence, factual corrections are applied within days, and material changes are noted in the affected guide. If we got something wrong and it cost you money or a morning, we want to know — that feedback loop is the only quality control an independent guide has, and we treat it accordingly.
