Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what information baliairballoon.com (“this site”, “we”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we run an editorial website, we collect very little, and we sell nothing — including data.

Who We Are

Bali Air Balloon is an independent editorial guide to balloon rides and aerial experiences in Bali. We are not a tour operator and do not process bookings or payments through this site. Contact: bd@juaraholding.com.

Information We Collect

Information you send us. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, contact details and your question. WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy in addition to ours.

Technical data. Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and performance monitoring. These logs are rotated and are not used to build visitor profiles.

Cookies. This site uses only functional cookies required for caching and performance (we use LiteSpeed server caching). We do not run advertising cookies or sell-side trackers.

How We Use Information

  • To answer the questions you send us, and to follow up if you asked us to.
  • To improve our guides — recurring reader questions become FAQ entries, with all identifying details removed.
  • To keep the site secure and fast, via the server logs described above.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. If you message us about an operator, we do not pass your contact details to that operator unless you ask us to make an introduction.

Third-Party Services

Replying to us on WhatsApp means your message passes through Meta’s WhatsApp service under its own terms. Links from our guides to external sites (operators, weather services, reference sources) lead to services with their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We do not embed third-party advertising or social media trackers on this site.

Data Retention

Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for answering you and maintaining the accuracy of our guides, after which it is deleted. Server logs are kept on a short rotation measured in weeks. Anonymised facts derived from reader reports — for example, “a reader was quoted X in month Y” — may persist in our guides indefinitely, with nothing identifying the reader.

Your Rights

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email bd@juaraholding.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually much faster. If you contacted us via WhatsApp, deleting the conversation on both ends is something you can also do directly in the app.

Children

This site’s content is family-relevant but its correspondence channels are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Experience the magic of balloon rides in Bali

Floating gently above the lush landscapes of Bali offers a unique perspective on this island’s striking beauty. From the vibrant green rice terraces to the glistening coastline, a hot air balloon ride provides an unforgettable experience that allows you to connect with the natural world in a way that few other activities can. The feeling of serenity while suspended in the sky is enhanced by the panoramic views that stretch for miles, making each flight an adventure that engages the senses.

Typically, sunrise flights are the most sought-after, as the early morning light casts a golden hue over the island. As the sun rises, you can spot iconic landmarks such as the majestic Mount Agung, which towers at 3,031 meters. The tranquility of the early hours adds an ethereal quality to the experience, setting the stage for a magical day ahead. Flights usually last about an hour, giving you ample time to soak in the sights and capture stunning photos from high above.

Safety and regulations for ballooning in Bali

Safety is paramount hot air ballooning. Operators in Bali adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a secure experience for all passengers. Each balloon is regularly inspected and maintained in accordance with international standards, with pilots undergoing rigorous training and certification. Before your flight, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing, covering everything from takeoff procedures to landing techniques.

In 2026, the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation introduced updated regulations for aerial activities, including hot air balloon rides. These regulations require operators to maintain a fleet of well-equipped balloons, conduct regular safety drills, and provide clear instructions to passengers. As a result, travelers can enjoy their Bali air balloon experience with peace of mind, knowing that they are in capable hands.

Alternatives to hot air balloon rides

While hot air balloon rides are a stunning way to see Bali, there are several alternatives that also offer incredible aerial views. Helicopter tours provide a thrilling way to explore the island from above, allowing you to cover greater distances and see more of Bali’s diverse landscapes in a shorter time. Prices for helicopter tours typically start around $200 for a 30-minute flight, offering an exhilarating experience that includes views of famous sites like the Tanah Lot temple and Ubud’s lush jungles.

For those seeking a more adventurous option, paragliding is another excellent alternative. Launching from the cliffs of Uluwatu or the hills of Nusa Dua, paragliding allows you to soar through the air, feeling the rush of the wind as you glide over the stunning coastline. Prices for paragliding experiences range from $100 to $150, depending on the duration and location. Both helicopter tours and paragliding offer unique perspectives of Bali’s stunning scenery and can complement a hot air balloon ride for a full aerial adventure.
